HKDSE Programme

Guided by the philosophy of “Integrating Chinese and Western Education with a Global Perspective,” the HKDSE Programme at ISA Wuhan combines the national curriculum standards with the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) framework under the broader principles of holistic education. The programme is structured around four core subjects plus two to three electives, offering students a flexible pathway to universities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. With Chinese available as a medium of response in selected subjects, the programme helps reduce language barriers while supporting both academic development and broader personal growth.

University Pathways

• Pathways to Hong Kong universities: The programme is designed to support applications to leading universities in Hong Kong, including the eight UGC-funded universities.
• Access to Mainland universities: Eligible students may apply to designated Mainland universities through recognised HKDSE admission pathways, providing an alternative route to higher education in Mainland China.
• Global recognition: HKDSE qualifications are recognised by universities in the UK, the US, Australia and other destinations, giving students broader options for international progression.

Academic Support

• Experienced teaching team: The programme is supported by teachers with experience in HKDSE teaching and assessment, alongside subject specialists familiar with both Hong Kong and Mainland education systems.
• English language development: English learning is supported through differentiated instruction and integrated language preparation, helping students strengthen academic English and communication skills.
